RoboDesk Wheelchair Tray for Mobile Devices

Designed for use on wheelchairs, the RoboDesk could give disabled people a way to participate more actively in the workforce.
The wheelchair tray features a motorized arm able to retract or deploy a tablet or small notebook computer, as well as serve as a writing surface or meal tray. The mount does not add any extra width to the chair, so movement through doorways is not hindered, nor are the chair’s standard functions affected.
According to developer Brad Duerstock, of Purdue University, "I believe we are losing a lot of talented people who could make a difference if they're given the tools and opportunities to succeed. I want to make it easier for them to actively participate in their educational endeavors."
